by Love

“We are shaped and fashioned by what we love.” The exhibition brings together three series connected by a search for form and a deeply human language of gesture.

The same central figure—a dancer—moves through all three bodies of work. Decorative elements, accessories and colour are removed, allowing the artist and viewer to concentrate on the body’s shape and movement. Light becomes both material and subject.

Side lighting defines dramatic areas of shadow, while backlighting creates a diffuse, ethereal glow. Through long exposure and layered movement, the body appears as presence, echo and passage—at once corporeal and elusive.
